13 Milestones to Remember

Vilai Viet is a general contractor established in 2012, specializing in FDI customers. In 2025, the company marks a special milestone of 13 years old, marking the opening of a new chapter in our development. 
 
Vilai Viet was officially established in 2012
Vilai Viet was founded in 2012 in a modest office on Nguyen Trai Street, with a core team of around 10 people. 
The name Vilai Viet was created as a symbol of commitment and gratitude towards our first customer: Gamuda Land Vietnam. Vi resembles Vietnam, and Lai resembles Malaysia, using a transcription in Vietnamese. This partnership also laid the foundation for our three core values: Commitment, Perseverance, and Openness. 
In the early days, Vilai Viet focused on small-scale landscape projects. Through consistent effort and trust from clients like Gamuda Gardens and other FDI investors, we gradually expanded both in scope and capability. 
Vilai Viet secured the first Civil Project as Main Contractor in 2016 
Four years later, Vilai Viet marked a major milestone by securing our first civil project as a Main Contractor for a Korean investor named Booyoung. Vilai Viet was introduced to Booyoung by an old client, paving the way to create a long-lasting relationship between the 02 companies. 
After the first project, Vilai Viet continued to serve Booyoung in various other packages. It was a breakthrough that signaled our transition from a modest local contractor to a trusted partner for FDI civil works. 
 
Vilai Viet awarded the first Industrial Project as Main Contractor in 2018
In 2018, Vilai Viet entered the industrial sector by becoming the Main Contractor for the Lite-On Factory in Hai Phong - our first Industrial Project. This marked not only an expansion of our business fields but also the beginning of a close, ongoing relationship with Lite-On Vietnam, paving the way for future collaborations in large-scale industrial developments. 
Vilai Viet developed an in-house BIM Team in 2021
Amidst rapid growth, Vilai Viet encountered unexpected challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. Social distancing measures halted all construction activities nationwide. But instead of pausing, Vilai Viet chose to turn adversity into opportunity. 
During this downtime, the company launched a structured BIM (Building Information Modeling) training program in collaboration with the Institute of Construction Economics. Dozens of Vilai Viet engineers were equipped with foundational knowledge in BIM operations and model management, laying the groundwork for smarter and more efficient project execution in the future. 
Vilai Viet operated a new Digital Solution System 2022in 
Coming back from the pandemic, Vilai Viet continued to improve internal strength by operating a new Digital Solution System to manage documents, information flow, and working space. 
This marked a pivotal shift in the way Vilai Viet operates. From a small contractor to a general contractor managing hundreds of employees, the company needed smarter tools to keep up with increasing complexity. The new system enables Vilai Viet to better manage large-scale workloads with precision and agility, setting the stage for the next phase of scalable, tech-driven growth.

Vilai Viet kicked off the first Commercial Project as Main Contractor 
In 2022, Vilai Viet officially entered the commercial construction sector by being awarded the ParkCity Mall – The Linc by Malaysian investor ParkCity. This partnership, introduced through an existing client, marked a new milestone as Vilai Viet took on the role of Main Contractor for both the commercial building and township infrastructure packages at ParkCity Hanoi.

Vilai Viet relocated to a new 1000m² head office 
Mid-2023, Vilai Viet moved to a new 1,000m² head office, designed with modern facilities and an open-space layout. The new workspace reflects the company’s transformation into a more professional, dynamic, and future-ready general contractor. 
Vilai Viet welcomed expats on board 
Also in this year, Vilai Viet welcomed international experts to join the Board of Directors. With years of experience in global markets, these new members brought fresh perspectives and contributed to aligning Vilai Viet’s operations with international standards, paving the way for sustainable growth and strategic expansion. 
Vilai Viet commenced the first Design & Build factory project for a Japanese investor 
With growing expertise and a proven track record, Vilai Viet officially kicked off our first Design & Build factory project for a Japanese investor. Known for their strict requirements in quality and process, Japanese partners represent a new benchmark for Vilai Viet’s execution capabilities. This milestone reaffirmed the company’s professionalism and adaptability to global expectations.

Vilai Viet ranked Top 10 - Vietnam ESG Initiative 2024 
Developing sustainably has always been the purpose of Vilai Viet. Doesn’t stop at contributing to reducing environmental impact, Vilai Viet aims to create a system where people can live long and live healthily. In 2024, Vilai Viet joined the Vietnam ESG Initiative and presented an integrated action plan combining energy efficiency, system management, and employee development. The proposal impressed national experts and earned Vilai Viet a place in the Top 10, surpassing dozens of other businesses in different fields. 
Vilai Viet scaled up with a factory project worth $690 million in total investment 
Reinforcing our growth momentum, Vilai Viet secured a large-scale factory project with a total investment amount of $690 million from Lite-On, scaling up the entire company. The project is a factory invested in by Lite-On, the same investor who awarded us our first industrial project in 2018. With a total ground floor area of 213,000m2, Vilai Viet collaborated with international names such as Takenaka, Taikisha, and Kinden to design and construct four buildings for the first phase of the factory.

Vilai Viet partnered with Takenaka 
Lite-On Factory Phase 01 project also marks the first official partnership between Vilai Viet and Japanese General Contractor Takenaka. After extensive discussions since 2023 and aligned values in sustainable growth, both companies joined hands to bid for the project. In which Takenaka will provide technical consulting services, Vilai Viet will take on the role of deploying and coordinate with the investor. 
Vilai Viet thrived with a Design & Build High-rise Building Project 
Carrying forward the momentum from 2024, Vilai Viet has raised our status with prominent projects. In 2025, Vilai Viet won another million-dollar project. This time, it’s the first ever project of Gamuda Land in Hai Phong, a high-rise building with 37 above-ground floors and 3 basement levels, designed and built following the EDGE standard. This project reflects not only our elevated position in the market but also our dedication to quality, innovation, and sustainability as we look to the future.
