Implement Technology to Increase Project Management Efficiency 

General Contractor Vilai Viet has begun implementing smart camera systems for construction site management since 2024. The pilot project for this initiative was the Wieson Technologies Factory, which features automated license plate recognition cameras and perimeter security cameras on fences.

During the testing process, the camera system oversaw managing the entry and exits of materials delivery vehicles and machinery on site, as well as strengthening the overall security. By implementing this camera system, Vilai Viet has improved project management efficiency, optimized human resources, and created an always-on platform for our engineers to monitor the site.

Despite the limitations regarding technical stability and suboptimal application value, the pilot system has set the foundation for Vilai Viet to continue improving and refining, thereby enhancing the overall project management efficiency.

Real-time site monitoring – Proactive for any situation

In 2025, during the Lite-On Quang Ninh Factory Project Phase 01 kick-off, Vilai Viet, as the General Contractor, made a significant advancement in applying technology in construction site project management. Besides the automated license plate recognition cameras and perimeter security cameras on fences that were tested in the Wieson project, Vilai Viet also introduced facial recognition technology to monitor workforce attendance and time-lapse cameras to oversee construction progress.

All personnel are identified and checked in automatically upon entering the site, ensuring security in daily operations. At the end of the day, the system automatically records attendance as workers exit through the gate.

For material delivery vehicles and machinery, license plates must be pre-registered with Vilai Viet’s site management team. When the vehicle enters the site, the system cross-checks the information and grants access automatically. This process takes only a few seconds, significantly reducing the need for on-site supervision.

An enhancement from the previous pilot system, the perimeter surveillance system at the Lite-On Quang Ninh Factory Project Phase 1 includes point-based intrusion alerts. Any unauthorized crossing of defined perimeter zones will trigger real-time alerts to the assigned personnel.

All monitoring systems are stored online, allowing both site staff and headquarters to oversee activities 24/7 and respond to any incidents promptly.
