Vilai Viet construction general contractor cooperates with the Japanese contractor in Vietnam, Takenaka, for the first time in the Lite-On Quang Ninh factory project. A partner with hundreds of years of experience

Takenaka is one of Japan's largest construction general contractors with more than 400 years of development. Up to now, the general contractor has been present in many countries around the world, participating in iconic projects such as Changi International Airport, Singapore National Exhibition Centre, IKEA Distribution Warehouse (Malaysia), Daikin R&D Center (India), Panasonic Power Plant (Malaysia), etc.

The relationship between Vilai Viet and Takenaka began in 2023, when representatives of the Japanese general contractor came to Vietnam to research. After many discussions, noticing the similarities, the two sides officially cooperated for the first time in Q1/2024 in the bidding process for the Lite-On Quang Ninh Factory Phase 01 project.

In the early stages, workflow differences were a big problem. As a multinational corporation, Takenaka has a strict quality control system and a multi-layered operating apparatus. This puts pressure on the Vilai Viet team to adapt quickly and, at the same time, proactively find a coordination method that meets partners' international standards while maintaining the necessary flexibility for the Investor.

However, this is also an opportunity for the two contractors to learn from experience and upgrade internal processes. Combining Takenaka's extensive experience and Vilai Viet's proactive spirit, the two general contractors quickly found a balance, optimized the stages, and coordinated smoothly in each stage of project implementation.
