The journey of “Where Forest Returns” begins with 300 trees in Hung Yen
“Where Forest Returns” is a long-term sustainable tree-planting initiative implemented by Vilai Viet in collaboration with the local authorities. In August 2025, Vilai Viet officially launched the program with 300 mangrove trees planted in Hung Yen.

In August 2025, representatives from Vilai Viet, the Agriculture & Environment Magazine, the People’s Committee of Dong Thuy Anh Commune, and the local community joined a planting event at the Thai Thuy Wetland Nature Reserve in Hung Yen. During the event, Vilai Viet members and locals planted 300 mangrove apple trees into the soft mud, marking the beginning of the “Where Forest Returns” journey to nurture what lasts.
These 300 mangrove apple trees represent the contribution converted from three Vilai Viet projects completed and handed over in 2024, including: Fujix Electronics Factory, Tamron Optical Factory, and Dong Mai Industrial Centre. Under the program’s mechanism, Vilai Viet donates 30 trees for every 1 hectare of gross floor area from projects completed in the previous year.

In collaboration with the local authorities, the trees will be looked after by the people of Thai Thuy, ensuring healthy growth and integration into the local mangrove ecosystem. These mangrove apple trees will provide habitats for marine life, ultimately creating a sustainable livelihood for the community.

The program may start small with just 300 young trees, but it creates a lasting impact on Vilai Viet’s sustainable development journey. As a next-generation general contractor with a sustainable orientation, Vilai Viet is committed not only to delivering high-quality projects but also to joining hands with clients and employees to bring enduring value to the community.
